An Afternoon of Opera and Song
Join us on August 30, as All Saints once again welcomes rising stars from the Academy of Vocal Arts (Philadelphia) for a program of opera arias and beloved songs from Broadway. Taking the stage will be Ethel Trujillo (soprano), grand prize winner of the Savannah VOICE Festival's Sherrill Milnes VOICE Competition last year, along with rising star Ryan Wornall (bass) and Angel Raii Gomez (tenor). A 2025 AVA graduate, Mr. Gomez will join the Metropolitan Opera for their upcoming productions of Andrea Chenier and Frida. Accompanying them will be Maestro Richard A. Raub on piano. For the past 40 years, Mr. Raub has served not only as a teacher and vocal coach but also as a musical director and conductor at AVA. In addition, he has collaborated with several of the world's leading opera stars, including Birgit Nilsson, Luciano Pavarotti, Renata Scotto, and Denyce Graves.
This concert, which is the first of the All Saints Community Arts Series 2026-27 season, begins at 5 p.m. and promises to offer attendees a taste of opera favorites and a chance to cheer on these young professionals. Attendees are also invited for an informal reception in the parish hall at 4 p.m.
Tickets are $30 per person (adults 18+), under 18 are free. Space is limited. To reserve your seat, send a check made out to All Saints Church (500 Lake Avenue, Bay Head, 08742), or purchase tickets online at Checkout | Clover.
