Women's Guild
The Women's Guild, open to all members of the parish, has over 40 dues-paying members. This group has been the backbone of our parish Outreach program. Among the charities supported are the Evergreen Fellowship Fund, the Seamen's Church Institute, Providence House, Ocean Harbor House, the National Cathedral Association, the Episcopal Fund for Relief and Development, St. Gregory's Pantry, St. Claire's Resource for Children with AIDS, and many more.
To raise the funds that support outreach efforts, this group has traditionally hosted three benefits, involving more than 100 church and community members. A Bridge Party is held each January, the Luncheon and Fashion Show in July, and the Saint Nicholas Bazaar in November. All are very popular and well attended. The Fashion Show Luncheon is an important social event that accommodates the "summer members" of All Saints, while the Saint Nicholas Bazaar unites the "year-round" members of our parish. This one-day event, which has been called "one of the prettiest bazaars" by The Asbury Park Press, relies solely on our homegrown talent for baked goods, knitted items, handmade Christmas decorations, and more -- no outside vendors are involved. And we typically raise more than $6,000 from this event each year. These benefits provide not only funds for outreach projects, but also an extremely rewarding opportunity for church fellowship.
In addition to these activities, the Women's Guild meets monthly in Bristol Hall. The capstone of these meetings has been the Noon Hour Speakers' Program. All are welcome to take part in a "brown bag" lunch and listen to guest speakers.
